One country star and her fans have the right to be very, very angry this morning. Several others should be dancing with joy.

This list of 2024 ACM Awards snubs and surprises is heavy on new faces, and light on established stars.

That in itself is surprising, as this isn't a genre that pivots like a speed boat. Among the surprises: A first-time nominee who also notched an Entertainer of the Year nod!

Among the snubs: One of country music's leading ladies.

  • Luke Combs (8) has the most nominations for the 2024 ACM Awards. Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen are next with six each.
  • The New Duo or Group of the Year category returns for 2024.
  • The 2024 ACM Awards will air live on Amazon Prime Video on May 16 at 8PM ET. Once again the show will air from the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.

A couple of changes to remember for next month's show: There are now seven Entertainer of the Year nominees, compared to five at the CMAs in November. There are also several studio and industry awards given out each year, although this list doesn't attempt to parse those categories.

No host has been named for the 2024 ACM Awards (Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton did the honors in 2023). Performers and presenters are also TBD.

2024 ACM Awards Nominations Snubs, Ranked

The 2024 ACM Awards nominations are here. Megan Moroney is having a very, VERY good day. A long list of veteran country hitmakers are not.

Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and more find themselves without a real reason to attend the 2024 ACM Awards next month. They don't make this list of snubs and surprises, however — scroll down to find our Top 10, starting with an Entertainer of the Year nominee that had never been up for anything before.
