Lainey Wilson Recalls Embarrassing Moment Her Dad Asked Miranda Lambert for a Picture [EXCLUSIVE]

As Lainey Wilson sits atop of the country music world, someone might need to tell her dad to play it a little cooler when he meets her friends who happen to be uber-famous, just like his own daughter is.

In an interview on Taste of Country Nights, I asked Wilson if her parents play it cool when they get to meet some of her famous friends.

Wilson says, "My daddy will, you know, just take a little picture just to show his buddies back home, ya know? I'm like, 'Can you please not do that; that's my friend now!'"

There was one time that Wilson says her daddy embarrassed her to the extreme, and that was when he got to meet Miranda Lambert.

"Miranda invited us to a party at Casa Rosa downtown [Nashville], it was after the CMAs, and I remember my daddy literally like walked in, and he just walked up straight to her and like hugged her on the neck and was like, 'Can you get our picture?'"

Take a moment to imagine this amazingly adorable moment that took place.

Lambert and Wilson are so sweet, and they likely both got a huge kick out of the innocence and giddiness of Wilson's daddy as he hugged Lambert and asked his own daughter to snap a picture of the two.

Wilson says she asked her father to ratchet down the enthusiasm a notch.

"I told him... 'Can you be cool?'" she recalls.
