Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A 73-year-old Rochester man has been charged with raping a 6-year-old girl.

A criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court charges Robert Charles Baker with first-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly sexually abusing the child multiple times between January and August of last year. The charge stems from an investigation that began last August when a Mayo Clinic doctor contacted Rochester Police and reported that a 6-year-old female patient "had potentially been sexually assaulted."

The criminal complaint says the child identified Baker as the person who had touched her inappropriately. The court record also notes that the victim "possessed an inappropriately comprehensive knowledge of human sexuality" while describing the abuse inflicted on her.

The evidence against Baker includes video and audio recordings from a security system in Baker's home. According to the criminal complaint, the recordings captured conversations between the child and Baker during which he describes the sexual abuse he allegedly had planned for her.
