Eyota, MN (KROC-AM News)- An ATV driver lost his life in a rollover crash near Rochester over the weekend.

That’s according to Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin, who says deputies responded to the fatality shortly before 7:30 Saturday morning.

40-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Ejected During Side-By-Side Rollover in Marion Township Saturday Morning

The deadly incident occurred in the 3400 block of Chester Road SE, which is about eight miles southeast of downtown Rochester, according to the sheriff’s office. 

Parkin says the side-by-side rolled into the ditch, which caused the driver to be ejected. 

ATV Operator Pronounced Dead at the Scene

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is describing the ATV operator as a 40-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been released. Parkin said the events surrounding the deadly ATV crash remain under investigation.
