
22-Year-Old Rochester Man Accused of Uploading Child Porn to Open AI
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A child pornography investigation has led to a felony charge being filed against a Rochester man.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Tuesday. The case stems from a cyber tip sent to the Rochester Police Department in February.
Cyber Tip Leads to Child Pornography Charge Against 22-Year-Old Rochester Man
The cyber tip indicated suspected child sexual abuse material had been uploaded to Open AI in May of last year. An email address was included in the tip.
Investigators traced the email account to 22-year-old Ramon Olinixyali Riba-Marmolejo, the complaint says.

Police then executed a search warrant for Riba-Marmolejo’s room at a Rochester group home in February.
Investigators seized eight electronic devices belonging to Riba-Marmolejo, the complaint says.
Data Extraction Leads to Discovery of Sexually Explicit Collage of Young Girl
A data extraction that was granted by a search warrant led to the discovery of eight files depicting suspected child sexual abuse material.
An image saved to Riba-Marmolejo’s phone was a collage containing sexually explicit photos of a 4-6 year-old girl, the court document states.
The image was created on May 27 of last year.
In an interview with investigators Riba-Marmolejo admitted to uploading an image depicting suspected child sexual abuse material to OpenAI in May of last year. He also stated he had been accessing child pornography since 2020, according to the complaint.

Riba-Marmolejo is charged with one count of possession of pornographic work depicting a minor under the age of 14. He’s being charged by summons and is due to make his first court appearance this Fall.
