Court records indicate Padilla entered a plea agreement this week that calls for him to plead guilty to an amended second-degree drug possession charge.
State sentencing guidelines call for a stayed four year prison sentence based upon the conviction and Padilla’s criminal history score of zero.
The prosecution has agreed to cap its jail sentence recommendation at 90 days and the defense will have the option to argue for less time behind bars.
His sentencing hearing is scheduled for December.
