
Short Term Detours & Lane Closures Planned on Hwy. 52 in Rochester During Bridge Sealing Work
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is advising drivers to prepare for possible, short delays on Hwy. 52 in Rochester this weekend.

Crews will continue work to seal cracks and joints on bridges along the freeway.
Earlier this month crews completed sealing work on the Hwy. 52 bridges over the Zumbro River near Apache Mall and both Hwy. 52 bridges at the Hwy. 63/South Broadway interchange.

It’s part of a larger effort to seal cracks and joints on 34 bridges in Olmsted and Mower Counties.
The sealing work on Hwy. 52 is scheduled to resume at 3:00 Saturday morning.

The latest work area is the Hwy. 52 and Civic Center Dr./Hwy. 14 interchange. MnDOT says five bridges will have sealing work done.
Three of the bridges are along northbound Hwy. 52.
The fourth bridge is the offramp from northbound Hwy. 52 to Civic Center Dr. and the fifth is the onramp from Civic Center Dr. to northbound Hwy. 52.
Flaggers, Lane Closures and Short-Term Detours Expected
MnDOT is telling motorists to anticipate lane closures, flaggers directing traffic and short term detours throughout the day until the work is completed, weather permitting.
The work along Hwy. 52 will progress north to Oronoco as the road construction season continues.
MnDOT says they’ll announce the next round of sealing work at a later time.
