Waseca, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in southern Minnesota are investigating after finding a man dead on a piece of equipment.

Limited information is available, however a news release issued by the Waseca Police Department says officers were dispatched to the report of an unresponsive man who was suffering from an injury on a piece of equipment. 

The 911 call was received by Waseca County dispatch around 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday.  The unresponsive man was reported to be in an industrial park in the 1500 block of South State St. in southern Waseca.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and rendered aid to the victim. The man was pronounced dead despite the life-saving efforts. 

His name and age have not been released. Details regarding his injury along with his cause and manner of death are not available as of Thursday morning. 

The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office and North Memorial Ambulance also responded to the scene.

Waseca Police are extending their condolences to the victim’s family, friends and community.
