Jury Convicts Rochester Man For Sexually Assaulting Teenage Girl
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Olmsted County jury has returned a guilty verdict in the trial of the second man charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl a little over two years ago.
26-year-old Dejuan Gray was found guilty of first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct and second-degree criminal sexual conduct during a trial that ended Thursday evening. He is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
According to the criminal complaint in the case, Grey and another man, 24-year-old Timothy Bremer, sexually assaulted the juvenile victim on January 13, 2021. The court document says the assault occurred at Bremer's apartment in northwest Rochester.
The victim, who was 15 years old at the time, told investigators that both men participated in the assault, which she reported to a friend almost immediately after she managed to escape from Bremer's residence. The criminal complaint says the girl told police she agreed to go to the apartment to smoke marijuana with Bremer and discovered that Gray was also there.
The court document says the victim told police that because of Gray's presence, she went into Bremer's room and he started kissing her and making sexual advances. She also stated that Bremer blocked her from leaving the room before Gray entered and the two men began assaulting her.
Bremer was convicted of the same charges during the trial in December. He is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
