Winona Woman Becomes Second Person Sentenced for Drug Bust at Best Western in Southwest Rochester

Deputies served search warrants for two rooms at the Best Western Motel in southwest Rochester.

During their search of the first room, law enforcement encountered Wiley and ordered her out of the room. She informed deputies that she had fentanyl in her purse.

The fentanyl weighed 0.9 grams, the charges say.

Shindlbeck was the sole occupant of the second room searched by law enforcement. During the room search, law enforcement located 76.7 grams of meth in a baggie, according to the complaints.

Also in the room was a set of keys to a vehicle belonging to Webster. Deputies later pulled over Webster and found 5.6 grams of cocaine and 11.7 grams of methamphetamine, court documents say.

Shindlbeck Sentencing

Court records indicate Shindlbeck was convicted of first-degree drug possession and was given a five-year stayed prison sentence. She was also sentenced to 180 days in jail.

She had a review hearing scheduled for later this month.

Other Cases

Wiley was sentenced earlier this year to a year of probation for a fifth-degree drug conviction. Court records alleged she subsequently violated the terms of her probation and now has an active arrest warrant.

The case against Webster remains ongoing.
