Ramp Closure & Detour Planned at Busy Rochester Interchange Next Week
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A ramp at a busy Rochester interchange is set to temporary close next week.
MnDOT announced the closure on Thursday. A detour will be in place during the closure.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, the ramp connecting southbound Hwy. 52 to westbound Hwy. 14 will close.
Southbound Hwy. 52 traffic seeking westbound Hwy. 14 will be detoured to the off-ramp at 2nd St. Southwest. Drivers will then be asked to take a left turn onto eastbound 2nd St. and make a second left to enter northbound Hwy. 52.
Motorists can then merge onto Westbound Hwy. 14 from the Hwy. 52 off-ramp at Exit 56B. Crews plan to repair a broken guardrail during the closure.
The ramp from southbound Hwy. 52 to westbound Hwy. 14 is scheduled to reopen around noon on Monday. A MnDOT news release says the ramp work is weather permitting.
