This is Now Know The Most Magical Event in Minnesotans' Lives

There are LOTS of events that happen to us every day. But we now know just WHICH of those life events Minnesotans say are the most magical.

What would YOU say are the most magical events that have happened in your life? It's a thought-provoking question that this survey recently queried. It asked people to rank the top ten most 'magical' moments in their life, and the results seem pretty universally true-- even here in Minnesota.

Now, while this new survey was done across the pond in the United Kingdom (thanks to the gang at the Daily Mirror), these events-- I mean, 'moments'-- seem to be fairly universal, whether you're in Europe or living here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

And considering how upside-down our lives have been over the past several years, thinking back to when these happy (or 'magical') events happened in your life might just help us all take a quick break from everything that seems to be so negative these days.

So just what ARE the things that resonated with most Minnesotans and were deemed 'most magical'? Check out what topped the list:

1. Hearing your child's first word.
2. Getting married.
3. Having a baby.
4. Buying your first home.
5. Passing your driving test.
6. Falling in love for the first time.
7. Hearing someone say, "I love you" back to you.
8. Your first kiss.
9. Getting your first paycheck.
10. Hearing your baby cry for the first time.

Just missing the top ten were things like buying your first car, seeing your favorite band live for the first time, and graduating from college.

Yeah, I'd pretty much agree with most of those. However, seeing as my wife and I don't have kids, I'd put the day we got married down in Jamaica at the top of my list. And, because I'm a big animal lover, adopting my first dog (shout-out to my old pal, Dexter) from a Minnesota animal rescue when he was just a 12-week-old pup probably makes my list too.
