If you have a kid who’s obsessed with sharks, sea turtles, or anything that swims… this might be the coolest opportunity they’ve seen all year.

SEA LIFE at Mall of America is searching for Minnesota’s very first “Mini Marine Biologist.”

The goal? To spark curiosity and inspire the next generation to care about our oceans and the amazing animals that live in them. Honestly… how cool is that?!

Even cooler, the prize is something any ocean-loving kid would absolutely lose their mind over.

The winner, along with their family, will get a private behind-the-scenes tour with a SEA LIFE aquarist, plus annual passes to SEA LIFE at Mall of America so they can keep visiting their favorite sea creatures all year long.

And this opportunity is a blast!

Kids can take part in the first-ever contest by writing a short 100-word essay about why they love the ocean, along with submitting a creative drawing of their very own imaginary sea creature. Think wild colors, giant teeth, crazy fins, … whatever their imagination comes up with.

The Aquarium is accepting submissions through March 15th, giving young ocean lovers across Minnesota a chance to show off both their creativity and love for all things under the sea.

So if you have a kid with a big imagination and a not-so-secret obsession with undersea creatures, this is their chance to make waves.

You can learn more and submit their entry here.
