
State Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash in Dakota County
Update: State Patrol Identifies Victims of Fatal Twin Cities Crash, Alcohol Use Suspected
Eagan, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded late Saturday night to a fatal crash in Dakota County.
A preliminary report on the deadly incident indicates it occurred shortly after 11:15 PM at the intersection of Highway 55 and Highway 49 in Eagan. The State Patrol says a Jeep and a car were both headed south on Highway 149 when they crossed into the northbound lanes just before the intersection with Highway 55.
The crash report states that the Jeep smashed into a traffic light pole on the northeast corner of the intersection, while the car went through the intersection and crashed into the southeast ditch.

The State Patrol has only said that it was a fatal crash and has not indicated whether there was more than one fatality.
The names of the people involved have not been released.
