Suspicious Death Investigation at Rochester-Area Campground
Update: Authorities ID Woman Found Dead at Southeast Minnesota Campground
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death at a Rochester-area campground.
Very little information has been released, but Wabasha County Sheriff Rodney Bartsh says the investigation involves a 63-year-old woman. He says investigators are currently waiting for the results of a preliminary autopsy and blood tests.
The name of the deceased woman has not been released.
Reports indicate she was found at Mac's Park Place Campground on Saturday. The location is about 5 miles northeast of Oronoco along the Zumbro River, just downstream of the RPU hydroelectric dam.
