Tragic End to Search For Missing Red Wing Man
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - The search for a missing Red Wing area man ended Sunday afternoon.
The Goodhue County Sheriff's Department says the body of Brad Nagel was found by searchers on his property in rural Red Wing. A medical examiner was called to the scene, but additional information is not expected to be released until Monday to allow more time for investigators to process the scene.
Goodhue County Sheriff says "The family is grateful for the support they have received and would like to thank everyone that has helped in the search for Brad."
The search for the 57-year-old man began after he went missing on November 15th. His family reported their last contact with him was at 11:45 that night.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued a statewide alert for Nagel on November 19th and over 150 volunteers participated in a search effort the same day. At that point, authorities believed he was likely in Wisconsin across the Mississippi River from Red Wing.
The following day the missing man's pickup truck was found.
