BREAKING: Sad News About the Real Santa in Rochester, MN

Christmas is NOT going to be the same this year in Southeast Minnesota.

Sad news just hit social media today about the Santa that we have come to love for many years in Rochester, Minnesota.  Most of us know him as "The Real Santa".  Thousands of kids have had the pleasure of hearing the bells ring on his outfits, see his meticulously curled hair as they sat on his lap giving him his wishes for the season.  And one of the best things about The Real Santa was the time he took with each kid.  If they brought their Christmas wish list, he went over it with them, asked them questions, and made notes so he could remember what they really wanted to see under the tree that year.

Unfortunately, that is going to be missed this holiday season in Rochester.

Over that last couple months I have been corresponding with Rochester’s Real Santa and he has decided that it is time for him to retire. Many of you have been seeing Rochester’s Real Santa for many years and understand how emotional and hard this decision was for him and he will miss all of you! Please feel free to drop him a note in the comment section or share a picture as he will be reading all the posts. Steve and I and all his toy elves will miss seeing him and listening to all his stories. We will miss you Santa and we hope you enjoy your retirement! Love, Rene (one of Santa’s elves).
