Rochester Locals Would Freak Out If These Restaurants Closed For Good
Based on data from bytescraper.com, there are around 9,000 restaurants in all of Minnesota. Sadly, that number seems to be fluctuating quite a bit since the pandemic due to numerous restaurants closing in this state. Unfortunately, those closures have hit the Rochester area as well in recent years.
Rochester NEEDS restaurants to stick around...because we've got a lot of people here! Right now, it is estimated by World Population Review that 122,971 people live in Rochester, Minnesota. With that high of a population and the fact that over 1 million people travel to Rochester for Mayo Clinic each year, Tripadvisor is estimating that the Med City has about 358 different restaurants.
If you drive around, though, you'll notice a few empty storefronts or changes where Glynner's Pub, Big Head Burrito, Leeann Chin, and Green-N-Fresh were located.
Hopefully, we don't see any more "Now Closed" signs posted, but if any show up at the local restaurants below, Rochesterites are going to freak out.
