Snack on Minnesota Sushi On a Stick While Getting Lost in a Giant Pickle Corn Maze
Big Springs Farm is a Pickle Paradise This Fall
If you love pickles, this is your year at Big Springs Farm in Lanesboro, MN. Big Springs has become one of the go-to fall destinations in Southeast Minnesota, and they never seem to do anything halfway when it comes to their annual themes.
The farm is celebrating its sixth fall season, and this year they've turned their annual corn maze and fall festival into a full-blown celebration of all things dill, with a 10-acre pickle-themed corn maze and an entire lineup of pickle-inspired food.

It just wouldn't be right to visit a pickle-themed corn maze without a photo with a giant pickle, so Big Springs has one of those too, which they have affectionately named The Big Dill, a 10-foot-tall pickle sculpture.

The pickle theme also continues into the food. Among the new options this year are Pickle Lemonade Slushies and a Double Dill Double Cheese Grilled Cheese. They also have pickle beer, which is a light beer with a splash of pickle juice.

And then there's what might be the most Minnesota item on the entire menu: Minnesota Sushi on a stick!
They call them pickle roll-ups on the menu, but we all know the real name is Minnesota Sushi. It's pickles, wrapped in ham and cream cheese. The perfect mobile snack for wandering through a pickle-themed maze.

The 2026 pickle maze at Big Springs Farm still offers several ways to tackle it.
You can follow the map and find all 12 checkpoints, try to solve the "Who Dunit?" mystery involving missing Farmer Joe, or use your phone and a QR code to navigate through the maze using GPS. There's also a lookout tower in the middle.

And if you want to make things considerably more difficult, Big Spring Farms is bringing back its after-dark flashlight maze nights. Those are scheduled for October 16, 17 and 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. It's a non-haunted maze, but getting turned around in a cornfield with only a flashlight is a great way to test your sense of direction.
What else is there to do at Big Springs Farm?
Of course, the corn maze is only part of the experience at Big Springs Farm.
The farm has more than 30 additional activities, including a 200-foot mini zipline, giant slides, a jump pad, corn pit, duck races, paintball range, hayrides, farm animals, giant games and a one-acre mini corn maze.

There are also pumpkin patches with nearly 150 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds, along with sunflowers and a cut-your-own flower area.
Not a bad way to spend a fall Saturday with the family.
When is Big Spring Farms Corn Maze Open?
Big Springs Farm is open Saturdays and Sundays through November 1st, as well as during MEA (October 15-18). Hours are 10am to 5pm. Admission is $13 online, $14 at the farm and $25 for a season pass.
