Wingstop is Quietly Working on Opening in Rochester

In case you missed the news at the beginning of the summer, Wingstop is coming to Rochester! I've heard good things about Wingstop but have never been able to try them myself. Of course, once they open their Rochester location I'll have to give them a try.

We're getting closer and closer to being able to try Wingstop, too, because I just spotted that they now have signage up at their location.

Wingstop Opening in Rochester, MN

We first reported on Wingstop opening their first Rochester location back at the end of May. A permit had been filed with the City of Rochester that indicated the permit was for a Wingstop location.

Wingstop will be opening in the former GameStop location by Target North.

GameStop closed back at the end of January. According to a Reddit thread, someone had spoken with the owner of GameStop and the owner told them they were being forced out by their landlord.

As I said in my article about GameStop closing, "Allegedly, the landlord decided not to renew the lease with GameStop and will be leasing the place to someone else."

It's clear now that the 'someone else' is Wingstop.

When is Wingstop Opening in Rochester, MN?

As of right now, I haven't seen anything about when Wingstop hopes to open. And the reason I said in the headline that they're 'quietly' working on opening is because I couldn't find anything on their website about the Rochester location.

A lot of the time the company will say the location and just 'Coming Soon', but right now on their 'Locations' tab, it says there are no locations in Rochester.
