If traveling Thursday night into Friday, be alert to winter weather moving back into the region. Accumulating snow is currently forecast to track across the Dakotas Thursday, spreading eastward across Minnesota into the local area Thursday night. Prepare now for potential impacts and check back for details and updates to the forecast.
Another snowstorm is expected on Sunday with heavier snow in the forecast.
Wednesday afternoon, the Weather Channel said Minneapolis and St. Paul could get 3-5 inches on Sunday, 3-5, 3-5 inches on Sunday Night, 1-3 on Monday.
St Cloud's forecast looks similar to the Twin Cities with 3-5 inches on Sunday, 3-5 on Sunday Night, and 3-5 inches on Monday.
Duluth's forecast calls for 1-3 inches on Sunday, 3-5 on Sunday Night, 3-5 on Monday, 3-5 on Monday night, and another 1-3 inches on Tuesday.
Rochester's forecast calls for 1-3 inches on Sunday with another 1-3 Sunday night and rain on Monday.
