What Are Pizza Farms and Where to Find Them in Southeast Minnesota
Wood-fired pizzas are easily my favorite kind of pizza. And then you get one with fresh ingredients and YUM! Chef's kiss.
Did you know there are these places called pizza farms? Obviously they don't grow the pizzas on trees (although, how cool would that be?) but they do grow the ingredients that then get used for the pizza.
They're wood-fired and fresh ingredients. My favorite! And we've got two pizza farms right here in southeast Minnesota.

What is a Pizza Farm?
Like I mentioned earlier, the farm grows the ingredients for the pizza. Then you get to enjoy the pizza right there on the farm.
Ok, maybe they get the dough from elsewhere and probably the cheese, but any veggies that go on top, for example, are fresh from the farm. It's a really cool idea to get people connected with their local farmers and a really fun thing to do in the summer.

Pizza Farms Near Rochester, MN
We actually have two pizza farms in southeast Minnesota.
One is called Squash Blossom Farm in Oronoco.

They grow all sorts of ingredients and then serve pizzas based on whatever is fresh and in season at the time. They also have live music on their pizza nights.
Pizza nights are Sundays, 4-6 PM and sometimes on Thursdays, 6-8 PM. They only make a limited number of pizzas, so make sure to order your pizza ahead of time.

The other pizza farm is at DreamAcres in Wykoff.

They do the same as Squash Blossom Farm and serve pizzas with fresh ingredients right from the farm.
They do their pizza nights every Friday during the summer from the end of May through September from 5-8 PM or, as they say on their website, "as far as the dough stretches."
