Rod Stewart’s Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Show Canceled – Will Anyone Replace Him?

Rod Stewart has canceled his show at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, along with all other upcoming performances due to a procedure he had recently.

Rod Stewart Cancels All Upcoming Shows

The announcement on the Minnesota State Fair's website says he had surgery to place a coronary stent:

following a routine coronary stent procedure, on the advice of his doctors, he will take the next few weeks to recuperate.

This isn't the first time a Grandstand show has been canceled. Last year, The Steve Miller Band canceled their performance, but they made that announcement in mid-July and were replaced with a different act.

Since this announcement from Rod Stewart is only two weeks from the start of the fair, will he be replaced with a different artist?

Who is Performing Tuesday, September 1st at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand?

His show was supposed to be Tuesday, September 1st. The State Fair says "concert ticket sales have been suspended and refunds will be issued" for the show.

As for a replacement:

Updated information about the Sept. 1 Grandstand concert will be forthcoming.

To me, that's saying they're working on getting a replacement, which is great! But I'm worried that whoever they get to perform won't get many ticket sales because we're so close to the show date.

Who knows, maybe they could get Cori Kennedy to come perform. Eh? Cori? Are you busy September 1st?
