Justin Moore and his wife have just welcomed a baby boy, and in his first interview after getting back to work, Moore shared what he is most looking forward to teaching his son.

Wife Kate gave birth to Thomas South Moore on June 11. South joins older sisters Ella Kole, 7, Kennedy Faye, 5, and Rebecca Klein, who will turn 3 on July 14. Moore hit the stage at Country Jam 2017 on Thursday night (June 15) — his first show since his son was born — and in an interview beforehand, he admitted that and his wife are going to have to learn some new parenting skills.

"We are in uncharted territory. Everything we've done for the last seven years has been geared toward everything pink, and everything little girl," Moore says. "Which has been awesome, and I love it, but it's pretty cool to have our little boy here. He's healthy and mama's healthy."

Moore has coached his daughters in softball and basketball, but "I actually can teach my son football, which is exciting," he says.

The couple took their son's first name from Justin's grandfather, who died after a battle with cancer a few years ago. "He was my hero, still is my hero," Moore reflects.

The boy's middle name also comes from Moore's pride in his heritage, but in a different way. "I've also spoken throughout my career about the pride I have in being from the South, so I thought, 'I was my name was South!'"
