Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Local authorities are reporting a significant drug bust in Rochester.

Officers raided a house at 3783 Kenosha Dr. NW Monday and found a large amount of cocaine and stacks of cash.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Capt. Jim Schueller says the cocaine was in separate packages that had a combined weight of 7.5 pounds. The estimated value of the cocaine was placed at a minimum of $35,000. The money that was seized totaled $55,000.

Schueller says digital scales and packaging material were found throughout the residence.  A gun was also confiscated.

Schueller says the man who was alone in the home refused to open the door and officers had to force their way in. The man was arrested. He has been identified as 32-year-old Roberto Torres-Nieves.

He was arraigned on 2 felony drug charges and later posted $250,000 bail.
