It's the first day of autumn and the weather is going to be beautiful. Expect a partly cloudy sky across southeast Minnesota today with a high in low 70s. Tomorrow will feel more like summer with high temps creeping close to 80-degrees and severe weather could impact the region late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse says, "Strong to severe storms will be possible during the late afternoon and evening of Tuesday. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds."

More seasonal weather will return Wednesday though the weekend with highs expected to be in the mid-60s. As of now, there's a chance of rain and storms Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
