Do you know what you've never seen in Downtown Rochester? A Renaissance fashion show? Bingo. In my memory, there has NEVER been a Renaissance fashion show in the Peace Plaza. But that, my friend, is changing.

Tell Siri to set a reminder for June 15th from Noon to 6 PM in the Peace Plaza, because that's the day for the first Rochester Shakespeare Festival, hosted by Immersion Youth Repertory

Sure, lots of Shakespeare, including Romeo and Juliet and Romeo and Juliet in 15 minutes, Macbeth, King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and more. It's a day of live theater performances, comedy, street theater, music, dance, live artist demonstrations, henna, a dunk tank, games, food, and shopping, too.

And, INSULTS!  Yes, there will be an opportunity for you to learn some Shakespearean insults, great for trash talking your friend's teams, your bosses decisions, and your mom and dad's choice in Easter clothes.

Admission is $5, and you can buy 'em here, or at the event.
