Ability Building Center (ABC) in Rochester, MN announced on Tuesday that their new Executive Director has been named.

Bruce Remme, who has been the Executive Director at ABC since March 2016, announced earlier this year that he was planning to retire.  According to the press release from ABC, Bruce "led the agency through a period of great change that this field has not seen in decades. Under his leadership the culture has been transformed as the agency embarks on a new strategic direction."

“I have learned so much from the people at ABC and all those that work in this field. Each day my passion and energy comes from the stories of people who are fulfilling their dreams and finding purpose. My time at ABC has been a gift of service that I will cherish forever. I will greatly miss my ABC family.” - Bruce Remme

Wayne Stenberg will be starting at the new Executive Director for ABC on September 4th.  He has had over twenty years of non-profit experiences and recently held the position of Executive Director at an award-winning nonprofit agency.  He is a licensed teacher and holds a B.S. degreed focused on education from Winona State University.  Wayne is also a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves.

Thank you, Bruce, for your years of serving!

A retirement open house for Bruce will be held in the future.  When that date is announced, I'll have it up on my Facebook page (Jessica On The Radio).
