Level 3 Sex Offender Returns to Rochester – Again
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A high risk sex offender has returned to Rochester after being released from his most recent stint in prison.
The Rochester Police Department has issued a public notification on the release of 29-year-old Matthew Judy, who is living under the Intensive Supervised Release program at his new address in the 2100 block of Campus Drive.
Judy was classified as a Level 3 sex offender after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in 2006. Since then, he has been in and out of prison a number of times for a variety of criminal offenses and probation violations.
Judy was most recently in the news two years ago for leading local authorities on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash in downtown Rochester that left a woman and her three young children with minor injuries. Judy was also transported to St. Mary’s hospital for treatment, where he became combative and nearly bit off a portion of a correction officer’s finger.
