Living “The Dash”

We all have an expiration date.  If we didn't, we could have a beer with Abraham Lincoln.  When I'm at a cemetery, I always wonder about 'The Dash'.  That's the little mark you see between the born date and the died date.  That's your life....the dash.  How did that person live their life?  Did they have happiness, drama and heartbreak like others?  Were they rich, poor?  How many children did they have.  Did they make others happy?  Will others remember you when you're gone?  Everyday I try to live 'the dash' as best as I can.  That's all we can do.  What do you do to live 'the dash' to the fullest? -Alan
