Man Injured After Making Contact With Car On Rochester Street
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man was taken to St Marys Hospital Monday night after being sideswiped by a vehicle near Mayo High School.
Police say the man was walking across 12th St SE at the 11th Ave intersection around 8:00 pm when he was hurt.
The driver of a car that was headed east on 12th St. told police he did not see the man in time to stop. A witness told police the car had the green light and the man who was hurt made contact with the front left side of the vehicle.
The man’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
A breath test given to the man at the scene indicated his blood/alcohol concentration was over .2. The man has no permanent address.
