Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The next time you head to Rochester City Hall, be sure to take a face mask.

The City Council Monday voted in support of a decision to require face coverings while at all city government facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Kim Norton made the decision over the weekend by amending the emergency order she issued when the pandemic began. The amendment needed council support.

It passed on a 6 -1 vote with council President Randy Staver against it.

The requirement will not affect the county portion of the Government Center.
