Mayo Clinic Matching All Donations to Virtual Red Kettle This Weekend
If you have been thinking about donating to the Salvation Army Red Kettle this year, this weekend would be the time to do it and make your money go twice as far! This weekend Mayo Clinic will be matching all donations to the Virtual Red Kettle, which you can find HERE.
This Virtual Red Kettle will only be open starting at 12:01 AM on Saturday the 19th through Sunday the 20th, so there's a full two days to get your donation in. The match that Mayo Clinic is providing is unlimited so they are encouraging people "'to give generously'" as Erin Sexton, Mayo Clinic's director of Enterprise Community Engagement says in a press release. Mayo Clinic also did an unlimited match last year.
The Salvation Army is very grateful for Mayo Clinic's unlimited match pledge. Major Robert Mueller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army, said in a press release that they "'are so grateful to Mayo Clinic for their continued support and for this exceptionally generous gift.'" The Salvation Army has been open throughout the pandemic helping people in need in the community.
The Virtual Red Kettle will be available this weekend at www.RochesterSA.org.
