If you’re a fan of Rick and Morty, I have some amazing news for you: McDonald’s is bringing Szechuan Sauce back, and you will soon be able to get it in Rochester. Szechuan Sauce, if you didn’t know, was released during a promotion for the Disney film Mulan back in the ‘90s. It’s apparently really, really tasty, and was brought back into the public consciousness during an episode of Rick and Morty.

You might remember McDonald’s receiving a lot of flack last year when they released their legendary Szechuan Sauce for a day in select locations. While they didn’t have any available in Rochester at the time, they apparently had some available in the Twin Cities. The problem is that McD’s completely underestimated the popularity of the hilarious Adult Swim cartoon, because they quickly sold out which caused fans to be enraged.

As a make-good, they’re now releasing Szechuan Sauce in every single McDonald’s restaurant this Monday, February 26. In order to prevent shortages, they’re be sending out 20 million sauce packs around the United States. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty psyched to see if this sauce lives up to the hype. GET READY.
