Minnesota Country Concerts Postponed by Coronavirus Outbreak

It seems like just about EVERY big event has been affected by the ongoing effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus-- including several big country shows here in Minnesota.

The term officials are using is 'social distancing,' which means pretty much any event where many thousands of people gather together at one time in the same place is not recommended as the COVID-19 virus takes hold across the United States.

Which explains why many big country concerts scheduled for here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes this spring are being postponed. Here's a list of some of the bigger shows that aren't happening when they were originally scheduled, and the dates for when those shows will be made up.

Jason Aldean at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul -- The show was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14th but it's been postponed until Saturday, August 8th.

Dan + Say at Target Center in Minneapolis -- The Minnesota date on their The Arena Tour was originally scheduled for Friday, April 10th, but has been postponed until the rescheduled date of Saturday, August 29th.

Kenny Chesney at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis -- Kenny's Minnesota date on his Chillaxification Tour was been postponed-- as have ALL dates on that tour. Kenny's site says they will be made up, with new show dates hopefully available in the coming weeks.

Reba McEntire at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul -- Reba's Minnesota show was originally set for Thursday, May 7th, but it has been postponed and rescheduled now for Thursday, July 23rd.
