There Are Three Dairy Queens for Sale In and Near Rochester
Today a Braasch Commercial Real Estate Facebook ad told me the Cannon Falls Dairy Queen is up for sale. And it got me thinking, would I like to own a Dairy Queen?
I imagined myself in an old school Dairy Queen uniform, handing over a delicious dipped cone to a sparkly eyed kid. Ahhh...that'd be the life. Then I thought, "Cannon Falls is too far away from me to manage personally. They'd be dipping hot dogs in the cherry hard stuff in no time!" Those rascally kids.
Just out of curiosity, I hit the Googs for "Minnesota Dairy Queens for Sale" and I found three! One in Cannon Falls, one in Rochester, and one in Red Wing.
Cannon Falls Dairy Queen for Sale - Under $500,000
"Located right off of HWY 52, this restaurant has high visibility and high traffic with 24,100 cars passing by daily (MNDOT 2019). While it is currently set up as a Dairy Queen, you could also create your own personal concept." Listed by Jay Christenson
That allows for some dreaming right there doesn't it? Maybe a fun sports bar where everyone shouts, "What's the dilly-o?" when someone walks in.
Red Wing Dairy Queen for Sale - $549,900
"The sale includes the Red Wing Dairy Queen, and the building next door that is setup already for your restaurant aspirations and just needs a new vision. With daily traffic on the street front reaching 21,200 this spot has seen its drive-through stay bustling even with COVID restrictions." Listed by Jay Christenson
Just a concept idea, but I'm sure Dairy Queen would be totally cool with the name.
Rochester Downtown Dairy Queen for Sale - $55,700
"The Downtown Dairy Queen located in the Marriott Hotel lower level is...connected within the Mayo Clinic subway and is popular with not only Mayo Clinic staff, patients, and their families, but also convention, dance, and sporting event visitors. Established for 15+ years, the restaurant was updated to offer an expanded menu that includes DQ favorites as well as local originals within the past 4 years. Reason for Selling: The existing owner is retiring from the restaurant business. " (VISIT LISTING PAGE HERE)
What a fun concept...after every lesson, kids get a banana spit!
