Minnesota Trader Joe’s Selling Grinch Inspired Christmas Trees!

When it comes to Christmas trees, there are no trees as cruelly treated as these two trees: The Charlie Brown Tree and the Grinch Tree...and right now  at the Trader Joe's in Rochester (and all over Minnesota) you can get your own Grinch inspired Grump Tree!! 

I know, it's just a li'l floppy Cyprus tree bow that bends over with the weight of its only ornament. ((sigh)) Good times.

For $7.99 ($8.99 in some locations), you'll get a Cyprus Grump Tree that, if you plant it after the holidays, could grow as big as 30 feet tall! That's a big deal for something you buy in a four inch pot.

Is it scented? Yes. Lemon scented, but that's not the scent the tree is born with.

The aroma of cypress can be described as fresh, lingering, pine-like, resinous, slightly smoky with a sweet, balsamic undertone. The scent is very evocative of a forest setting, bestowing a soothing and refreshing ambience. (Click here to read more about the Cyprus tree.)

Since the tree shouldn't smell like lemons, I'm guessing it'll wear off after a bit and smell way better (according to the description, anyway).
