The Minnesota Vikings have been a member of the NFL for 64 years, and while they're not on the list of Super Bowl-winning teams, they did just come in on top of this list

The 2024 NFL regular season is over, and while thousands of Purple and Gold fans across the Land of 10,000 Lakes are still waiting for the Vikings to finish in first place and win a Super Bowl, they DID just take first place on THIS new list.

It's probably not a list on which they'd like to be first, however. That's because when it comes to having the worst-behaved players, no team is better than the Minnesota Vikings. That's right, our own Vikings just placed first on the dubious list of NFL teams whose players had the most arrests.

That's the word from this recent survey by online gaming site FlashPicks. Their number-crunchers looked at and examined arrest data dating back 24 years, from 2000 to the present, to determine just which NFL franchises have had the most arrests among players.

And, yeah, the Purple People Eaters (as the Vikings were once known) topped the list. According to the FlashPicks survey:

In first place are the Minnesota Vikings, who, since 2000, have seen players be arrested 60 times. With the average franchise seeing just 33 arrests over the period, the Vikings saw an arrest rate over 80% higher than average.

Now while this list is compiled of data dating back over the past 24 years, it would appear that a good deal of the infamous behavior that landed the Vikings on the top of that list took place awhile ago. This compilation of the Vikings' arrests appears to show that a lot of those incidents took place in the decade between 2000 and 2010.

More recently, the team's former defensive coordinator, Wes Phillips, was arrested on DWI charges in Hennepin County on December 8th, 2023. (He apparently pleaded guilty to lesser charges of careless driving, NBC News said.)

Here's the entire FlashPicks list of NFL Teams With the Most Arrests
