Minnesota’s Best Family Attraction Has A New Winter Event

Not only is the Minnesota Zoo a great place to take visitors, but it is the BEST family attraction in the state, according to Star Tribune's Minnesota's Best Magazine. And this year, the Zoo went above and beyond to bring joy to families in the New Year by hosting a walking tour through their brilliant, popular, oversized animal light displays.

Nature Illuminated, which started as a driving tour, has been transformed into a new experience that will open and run from January 6th through the 16th. 

Below you can see the complete exhibit map. The tour path is 3/4 of a mile and is easily accessible. 

The displays are truly magnificent and are sure to excite the kid in all of us as long as you remember to wear your long johns!

Those who are interested in braving the cold can purchase tickets online. However, in partnership with the Minnesota Zoo, KRFO will be giving away a pack of four tickets on our Facebook page. To enter, head on over to our page and comment your favorite Minnesota Zoo animal. It is that simple! 

We will be announcing the winner on Friday, January 7th, at 8 am. 

The attraction is open from 5 to 9 pm Thursdays and Sundays and from 5 to 9:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
