If you're thinking about baring it all at this Twin Cities beach this summer to get the perfect tan, you may want to second guess that decision!

According to a report from WCCO, Golden Valley Police are using drones to catch beach goers who are showing a little too much skin at Twin Lake, which is just west of Theodore Wirth Park. The beach is a popular spot for many who want to catch some rays and many people and while not posted, it has become Minnesota's unofficial "nude beach".

It’s really well known for being a safe place to just be comfortable- Elise Olin

Elise Olin is a frequent visitor to the beach and when she was there on July 10th, Golden Valley PD started gathering information to cite those who were topless or completely nude. While people were clothed while citations were given, they were caught being lewd by drones patrolling the beach.

It had reached the point where it was time for people to be held accountable for their actions- Sgt. Randy Mahlen, GVPD

Many beachgoers thought the use of drones violated their privacy. This incident comes at a time where the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is currently discussing if there will be a repeal of an ordinance that bans women from being topless in city parks and beaches.
