A few weeks ago, Jason Gonzalez who attends Metropolitan State University in Minnesota found himself in the national news. He created a business where he would drive down to Iowa, buy Krispy Kreme donuts and bring them back to Minnesota to sell them for a profit. According to Bring Me The News, Krispy Kreme and Gonzalez reached an agreement that he would be the only provider of Krispy Kreme donuts in Minnesota.

Gonzalez needed a new vehicle to keep his operation going, so he created a GoFund Me account. As of Friday, he had raised over $8,000 on there. But, it doesn't look like he is going to need that anymore. Bring Me The News claims that Daimler North America has teamed up with Krispy Kreme to give Gonzalez a Mercedes Sprinter Van, so he can continue his operation.

The van won't be here until January, but Gonzalez says he is super excited. In the article, he says that if folks would like a refund for the money they donated, he will gladly give it to them. Otherwise, he is using the funds to pay the taxes, get insurance and get snow tires for his operation.

Apparently he started the business to pay off some of his student debt, but now it has turned into his life. The plan is he won't make is next run to Iowa until January, but we will have access to Krispy Kreme donuts soon!
