No Verdict Yet in Rochester Murder Trial
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Deliberations are expected to resume this morning in the Alexander Weiss murder trial.
The panel received the case against the Rochester man Tuesday after hearing closing arguments over whether he was acting in self-defense when he shot and killed 17-year-old Muhammed Rahim last year. The jury deliberated until about 9:00 PM and is scheduled to return to court at 9:00 AM.
The deadly shooting occurred in January 2018 during a confrontation that followed a minor traffic incident. This is the 2nd time Weiss has gone to trial on the 2nd degree murder charge. His first trial earlier this year was declared a mistrial after the jury deadlocked.
