Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – The public is free to show up and paint with a cop Wednesday afternoon from 1-4 p.m.

The Rochester Police Department will have local law enforcement officers for Paint With a Cop at Castley Community, where people will paint ceramic pigs for the House of Shields apartments. The House of Shields provides free lodging to law enforcement officers, and their immediate family, who have to travel to Rochester for treatment at the Mayo Clinic.

The pigs painted will be placed in the House of Shields apartments for guest to leave monetary donations.

Other activities include a scavenger hunt, meet and greet with Officer Roussell and K9 Sarge from 1-3pm, fingerprinting demonstrations, squad car tours and some free goodies.

The event is free, but donations to House of Shields are appreciated.
