Paul Reubens, probably best know for his role as Pee-Wee Herman, is coming to Minnesota in March. He'll be at the State Theatre for a special showing of "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" which was released 35 years ago, in 2020. That's right, 35 years ago.

Pee-Wee goes on a national search for his beloved bicycle, stolen in broad daylight. He runs into bikers, long-haul truckers, while looking for his bike. In celebration of the 35th Anniversary, Paul Reubens is going to go on a 20 city tour to talk about the movie, along with a special showing. Minneapolis is on the list of stops he plans to make. People will watch the movie, then he will step up and start talking about the movie and the character Pee-Wee.

Tickets go on sale for this event on Friday, December 13th. There are several different ticket options available, including a backstage pass package. Prices have not yet been released. You can find out more about the tickets here.

After the relative success of the movie, Paul Reubens also starred in the kid's show, "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" which aired from 1986-1990. Which, in my opinion, was probably 3 years more than needed. Talking furniture, the "word of the day" which once you heard it, you were supposed to scream real loud.....I can now understand why my parents were not impressed with the show.
