Pepsi Pineapple? It Certainly Looks Real
Sure 2020 will go down as the year we learned the phrase 'social distance', graduations of all kinds and the NCAA tournament were canceled, but one thing it might also be known for? The introduction of possibly the perfect summer beverage. Early this morning I spotted a social media post that piqued my interest. Pineapple Pepsi, or rather Pepsi with a hint of Pineapple. According to the Instagram account of The Impulsive Buy, the product is indeed real, and to sounds kind of good. Just keep the pineapple off my pizza.

I'm not going to say I am responsible for this, but I did write a review of the Japanese version of Pepsi Pineapple last October, and in it I wrote, "...it is a Pepsi flavor that will never come to the U.S. unless a PepsiCo bigwig reads this review and is moved by my words so much that he or she convinces the powers that be to sell a pineapple-flavored Pepsi in the U.S." But if my words are responsible for this, you're welcome. Spotted by Zach at Walmart. UPDATE: @candyhunting says in the comments that this is replacing lime.
According to The Impulsive Buy, the 8-pack of cans was spotted in a Walmart. It was just last year that Pepsi rolled out Mango, Lime, and Berry to go along with it's Wild Cherry and Vanilla flavors.
Last year Pepsi rolled out a Pepsi with Pineapple flavored soda that was just exclusive in Japan.
I'll see if I can't find the newest flavor in the aisles at our local Wal-Mart and give it a try.
