It's a fun, vinyl-filled celebration that only comes around in April. This year, it's closer to us than yesterday.

I'd like to think that if you're already reading this article - you know what Record Store Day is. If you don't, they explain, "This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store—the staff, the customers, and the artists—to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, DJs spinning records, and on and on."

I've celebrated since college, and I'm thrilled to see that it will be celebrated closer to me right here in Rochester.

Here's what you need to know: Rochester Records is your one-stop shop for great deals and finds on this day locally.

Yep, that means everything on "the list" will be available on April 21st when the shop opens at 8 AM. The list this year includes special releases from; The Rolling Stones, Madonna, The Allman Brothers, David Bowie, Brothers Osbourne and The Cure - and so many more!

Check it out in April!
