Reservations Required to Take Minnesota Driving Knowledge Tests
Normally, you would be able to walk in and take the next but beginning July 13th, that will be changing.
According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Services and Bring Me the News, the walk-in services for the Knowledge test is being replaced with an appointment center that starts Monday, July 13th. The is being done to help lower the long wait times and high demand for the class D test.
During the eight weeks Coronavirus shut down, the DVS estimated that 50,000 test had to be delayed.
People have had to adjust their lives and schedules in order to arrive at exam stations early to try to take the knowledge test. We want to make things easier for Minnesotans and reduce the time they need to spend at exam stations. - Emma Corrie, Minnesota DVS Director
The scheduling tool for the test will be available starting Friday on the DVS website.
