Rochester – Expect A New Starbucks On North Broadway!

A listener called to tell me a new Starbucks is slated to open on North Broadway...making Rochester a SEVEN Starbucks town. And you know what's interesting? According to the call, they've chosen a location right next to another coffee shop.

First, I got in touch with Starbucks, and their spokesperson said,

Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers and we are continually evaluating our store portfolio. At this time, we remain focused on serving customers in Rochester at our existing stores and have no store-opening plans to announce.

But a quick call to the Gov't Center confirms permits have been taken out to do just what Starbucks says isn't happening at the old Sinclaire gas station, the one across the street from Silver Lake Foods.

IT's an area with a lot of coffee shops. Just north of a Moka drive-thru, and about 2,000 feet south of Dunn Brothers. Oh, and about 600 feet away from a Caribou/Einstein Bros Bagels.
