Rochester Kids Get Free Food at These Events
The Rochester Public Library teamed up with local schools for a fun new program called "Summer Playlist on the Road." Over the next 11 weeks, they'll be making several stops throughout Rochester with books, art projects and now, food. For the first time ever, during these Bookmobile and BookBike stops, there will be fresh produce delivered. The produce was actually grown by Rochester students - The Rochester Alternative Learning Center and Riverside Central Elementary School both have community gardens.
According to the library's website, they'll be making stops on:
Tuesdays (June 12 & 26; July 10 & 24; August 7 & 21):
At Roy Watson Complex from 2:45 - 3:45p AND at Gage School from 3:45 - 4:20p
Wednesdays (June 13, 20 & 27; July 11, 18 & 25; August 1, 8, 15 & 22):
At Homestead Park from 1:50 - 2:20p
Thursdays, June 7 & 21; July 5 & 19; August 2 & 16
At Creekside Apartments from 2:35 - 3:20pm AND Red Cross from 3:45 - 4:15pm
