Rochester Man Arrested For Drugs Also Had Loaded Stolen Gun
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A minor ordinance violation led to the arrest of a Rochester man on felony charges.
A Rochester patrol officer spotted two people sitting in a vehicle parked at Silver Lake Park early Saturday.
Because late-night parking is prohibited in the park, the officer checked on the two men inside the car. When the officer smelled marijuana, the men were ordered out and the vehicle was searched.
The officer found a loaded handgun under the front passenger seat. It was learned the gun had been stolen in Rochester earlier this year.
The passenger in the car was identified as 21-year-old Tremaine Williams. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property.
He is also facing drug charges after he was found to be in possession of 5 suspected heroin pills and nearly 12 grams of marijuana.
